Convergence of the Adomian Decomposition Method for Initial-Value Problems
We prove convergence of the Adomian decomposition method for an abstract initial-value problem using the method of majorants from the Cauchy-Kowalevskaya theorem for differential equations with analytic vector fields. Convergence rates of the Adomian method are investigated in the context of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Numer Methods Partial Differential Eq...
متن کاملOn the convergence of Adomian decomposition method
Here, a simple method to determine the rate of convergence of Adomian decomposition method is introduced. The proposed method is used to compare between the rate of convergence of standard and modified (proposed by Wazwaz [A.M. Wazwaz, A new method for solving singular initial value problems in the second-order ordinary differential equations, Appl. Math. Comput. 128 (2002) 45–57]) Adomian meth...
متن کاملAdomian Decomposition Method for Nonlinear Sturm-liouville Problems
In this paper the Adomian decomposition method is applied to the nonlinear SturmLiouville problem −y + y(t) = λy(t), y(t) > 0, t ∈ I = (0, 1), y(0) = y(1) = 0, where p > 1 is a constant and λ > 0 is an eigenvalue parameter. Also, the eigenvalues and the behavior of eigenfuctions of the problem are demonstrated.
متن کاملNew Approach for General Convergence of the Adomian Decomposition Method
Abstract: Convergence of Adomian decomposition method (ADM) is ofa great importance when applied to different types of linear and nonlinear equations. In this paper, a general proof of convergence of ADM is introduced. In this work, a reliable approach for convergence of the Adomian method is discussed. Convergence analysis is reliable enough to estimate the maximum absolute truncated error of t...
متن کاملA discrete Adomian decomposition method for discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equations
We present a new discrete Adomian decomposition method to approximate the theoretical solution of discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equations. The method is examined for plane waves and for single soliton waves in case of continuous, semi– discrete and fully discrete Schrödinger equations. Several illustrative examples and Mathematica program codes are presented.
